To further unite staff, gain momentum, cheer up employees’ morale, and inspire training enthusiasm, our company launched the first fire safety training after the New Year on February 3 so that staff can get back on the right track quickly and have a good start.
Adapt to the “New” Environment
The training site is located in the No. 5 tank area, which is in the middle of the warehouse area. The road there is relatively narrow, which puts higher requirements on the driver’s capacity, considering not only the wind direction and parking space but also whether the surrounding area allows convenient operation and water cannon spraying. There is a large piece of lawn next to it, so how to stretch the water belt to better approach the tank? What if they can’t see after taking off their glasses? What if they cannot see the operation clearly with fog on the mask given the temperature difference between the mask’s inside and outside? This training strengthened the drivers’ understanding of the place, firefighters’ use of equipment, and operators’ adaptation to the environment.
Test “New” Equipment
“This pneumatic valve is a bit strained to adjust.” muttered the site team leader, who panted only after several screwing. After a few fumbling, “Central control, please turn off the pneumatic valve quickly!” shouted the team leader immediately. Ten seconds later, the pneumatic valve was turned off with a “poof” sound by the team leader. This training enhanced operators’ understanding of the key equipment of the tank. Only through continuous practice and diligent thinking and learning can we enhance our ability to deal with complex issues.
Ask “New” Problems
“Li Lei, what is the type of foam generator of this tank? Which side is the cross direction of the internal glass of the foam generator?”
“Yan Zhiwei, what is the model of the foam generator of this tank? Where is the switching valve of the rainwater and sewage well?”
Firefighters correctly answered the increasingly professional and wide-ranging questions raised by the director one by one. In the coming new year, firefighters should improve not only their skills but also their educational background amid increasingly fierce competition. They said they would make great efforts to pass the registered fire engineer examination, leading in skills and profession!
In the new year, we will continue to improve our skills and ensure emergency response through rounds of training and rehearsal and overall linkage, contributing to the company’s good start and solid foundation with high morale, a new look, and a united spirit, drawing a blueprint for the new year and striving for new leaps.
