Gathering Strength for Breakthroughs and Striving Forward for Development— Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage Co., Ltd Organizes the Work Review Conference for the First Half of 2023

On July 19th, Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage hold the work review conference for the first half of 2023 in the red night school (session 24 for the semester and lesson 266). The conference reviewed the company performance and analyzed the business situation of the first half of 2023. Moreover, the conference also focused on major works of the next 6 months, aiming to strengthen confidence and thoroughly implement all targets and missions. Sun Guangguan, safety general director of the company, hosted the conference. More than 50 participants including company leaders, department leaders, cadres above deputy team monitors, and new employees attended the conference.

1. Review of the First Half of 2023

General manager Sun Chengli made a report themed by Gathering Strength for Breakthroughs and Striving Forward for Development” to review the business performance of the company in the first half of 2023 from five perspectives, namely “leadership of party building, business performance, highlights, new growth points, and ranking top worldwide”. Facing the decrease of sales volume and severe market competitions, the company leaders analyzed and adjusted strategies with unwavering determination. All employees tried their best to avoid the loss of clients and worked tirelessly to explore new clients and create more added values. With the mutual efforts of all staff, the company achieved the target of “accomplishing half of the sales volume in the first half of the year” and exceeded all targets, which is worthy of congratulation.  

2. Report on Work Safety

The conference reported the inspection and rectification of potential risks by all employees, the analysis of company regulation compliance in the first half of the year, and the deployment of work safety production work in the first half of the year. Employees were organized to study the safety inspection report of Li Yan, assistant general manager, who was assigned to a temporary post in Liaoning Litian New Material Co., Ltd.  The conference required all employees to stand fast to the bottom line, raise risk awareness, and build a defense line to ensure that work safety situation improves continuously.

(1) Results of Investigation and Rectification of Potential Risks by All Employees

Since June in 2022, the company started the investigation and rectification of potential risks by all employees. Everyone in the company became the “whistle-blower” of potential risks and the “woodpecker” to eliminate all hidden problems. More than 600 potential risks were listed out and solved (apart from the advertisement board under construction). General manager Sun Chengli emphasized that work safety and environmental protection are two swords always hanging over the heads of Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage. Everyone must hold safety in hand and remember safety in heart all the time. The answers of work safety could only be found on the scene. Employees should observe the workplaces carefully and earnestly. If everyone could watch closely with eyes, listen to details with ears, and touch with their hearts, the company may be able to locate and solve all potential risks.

(2) Regulation Compliance Analysis

Chen Kaijian from work safety and environment protection department and Zhang Bei from the office analyzed the regulation compliance of employees in the first half of 2023 with chats and pictures from on-site cases and administrative cases. In the first half of this year, 179 violations occurred with the total penalty of CNY 14,700, including 88 administrative cases and 91 on-site cases related to operation, management, protection, and record. Moreover, the reports also made a comparative analysis of the types of violations, typical cases, and behavioral norms , so as to leave deep impressions to employees and push them to draw lessons from these violations. In this way, the concept of “safety is perfection or nothing” would be deeply rooted in employees’ mind. 

(3) Work Safety of the First Half of 2023

In the first half of 2023, the company carried out the new development outlook from five aspects, including safety training and education, potential risk inspection and management, emergency management, safety investment, and safety culture. The company attached great importance to work safety accountability mechanism and constantly consolidated the foundation of safety and environmental protection, which truly implemented the requirements of work safety in daily works. For the problems found in the first half of the year, the company should further improve the methods and objectives of work safety and make more specific and targeted plans for the safety production work in the second half of the year, drafting clear roadmaps with practical measures and accurate standards.

(4) Work Safety Survey Report

General safety director Sun Guangguan proposed that all employees should think about the questions promoted by Li Yan in Liaoning Litian New Material Co., Ltd. Could the passions of entrepreneurship in the workplaces help the company to rank top worldwide? Are regulations and rules of workplaces applicable and appropriate for the company to rank top worldwide? And does the company deploy enough talents in the workplace to support the company to rank top worldwide? These three questions stand on the position of a third-party and aim to identify and solve the company’s problems.  

3. Work Plans of the Second Half of 2023

General manager Sun Chengli approved the performance of the company in the first half year and also expressed her gratitude to the contributions and devotion of all employees. She highlighted that the company strived forward bravely in the context of disadvantaged internal and external environment under the leadership of party branches and made changes actively in front of the complex markets, which gave birth to remarkable achievement. The company quickens its pace in the transformation of an intelligent and information-based company based on its business advantages as well as stable and safe operation. Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage laid a solid foundation for the future development.    

In the next half year of 2023, all employees must take advantages of their strength and complement their weaknesses in accordance with their clear targets. Guided by the principle of “focusing on key missions, seizing major projects, preventing safety potential risks, lifting intelligent and information-based level, and cultivating inner driving force”, the company should speed up and win more time. Every department of the company should improve the efficiency. It is necessary to make concrete progress at the front line, stick to find and solve problems “on site”, and undertake corresponding responsibilities. The hard work of party members and cadres would give birth to the happiness of employees along with better business performance. Sun Chengli also put forward three requirements for the next step. 

First, the company must build a red fortress of work safety.

June is the month of work safety. A series of activities were carried out to promote and escort work safety. To deal with the high temperature, the company is faced with the problems of how to avoid the loosening end of employees’ safety awareness and ensure the work safety. The company would keep organizing the "no potential risks, no violations, and no accidents" campaign to further improve the standardization level of work safety and lay a solid and reliable foundation for the transformation and development of Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage.

Second, the company would charge forward to overcome major difficulties.

In the first half of the year, in the critical moment of "warming up and bouncing back" after the epidemic and facing pressing, difficult, dangerous and severe tasks such as high temperatures, flood and urgent needs of customers, all party members and leading cadres took the lead and solved potential problems one by one with frontline employees. In the second half of 2023, the situations are still complicated and the tasks are still arduous. The company should fully realize the difficulties and challenges which impeded the company development, make full use of our advantages and resources, and hedge the downward pressure of the market. 

Third, the company should “promote development” by deepening themed education.

The company business performance would reflect the power of party branches and test the effects of party building. The company must “seek spiritual support, acquire knowledge, temper the willpower, and improve working methods” during the education, and solve the problems, diseases, and roadblocks in the work, especially in the ideological sector. Thoughts decide actions. All employees must build a strong wall of thoughts and keep improving capabilities. The company should aim to rank top worldwide with its high-quality development. Taking this opportunity, all employees should acquire more knowledge and improve themselves, thus changing top-level targets into practical front-line schedules and to-do lists.

In the last half year of 2023, Jiangsu Joc Chemical Storage would change the pressure and the sense of challenge into driving force and strong confidence under the leadership of the group party branch. Clearly analyzing the obstacles and difficulties in its development, the company would uphold the banner of “higher standards, stricter management, and stronger brand influences” and endeavor to build up a team which is resilient against headwinds, reliable at crucial moments, and tough-minded in front of challenges. Only sweat could create excellence and make impossibilities possible. In this way, the company may finally fulfill its responsibilities for the high-quality development of the group.
