HQCC creates a modern blue-collar team in the military camp, and military training is one of the necessary conditions for HQCC’s staff. We aim to create a high-quality team with efficient execution that dares to fight and win through practical training, confrontation training, and immersive military training. Therefore, our company cooperated with the Ministry of Armed Forces to carry out “military training to raise morale and conduct party building”. All staff went to the military camp for three days to experience military life in person. Party members and cadres took the lead to promote the education of Xi Jinping Thoughts on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era.

We came with expectations and left with great achievements. From April 26 to 28, the company’s Party Committee organized military training of “learning the military style and strengthening their quality” to build an “iron army” with iron-like discipline and steel-like will. All employees of the company participated in the military training in batches. The first phase of military training was led by the secretary of the Party Committee, Sun Chengli. 34 party members, cadres, and workers participated in the training.

To ensure the quality of the military training, the company attached great importance, developing a detailed training program and related training requirements based on the real conditions and inviting relevant personnel of the District People’s Armed Forces Department as instructors to start from the basic actions such as standing at attention, standing at ease, numbering off, turning in place, marching, running, and formation. Under the scorching sun, the standard upright military posture, neat and uniform pace, and strict standing requirements all let the participants feel the steel-like military discipline and style.

During the military training, all participants wore camouflage uniforms. Participants were not divided into classes according to the original department but were randomly divided into four classes to deepen their mutual understanding.

Surprise Training at Night

HQCC is a chemical company. Therefore, this military training included a night surprise training session to improve the staff’s emergency response ability. In the case of lights off and rest, staff was asked to gather emergently without advanced notice to test their rapid response ability and strengthen their safety awareness of being prepared for danger and always ready.

Sun Chengli pointed out that:

First, we should inherit the fine style of the army and forge the excellent character of soldiers.

Staff can experience the military style, temperament, strict discipline, selfless dedication, and defense of the country through this training. We should learn the military spirit, national defense awareness, and self-discipline spirit from them. We should exercise, make breakthroughs, and adopt the team and discipline consciousness learned to the daily work to grow constantly.

Second, we should adhere to high standards and strict requirements to ensure high-quality military training.

This military training was important in demonstrating and guiding following military training. I hope that participants could correct their thinking and devote themselves to military training with a positive and active attitude. Each participant, regardless of age and position, was an ordinary member on the training field, and should strictly abide by the training discipline, respect the instructor, and do all actions under command. We should combine knowledge and action, training and cultivation, focus on effectiveness, and consciously transform the gains in military training into a driving force at work.

Third, we must dare to conduct self-revolution.

General Secretary Xi Jinping stressed that “adhering to the Party’s leadership and strengthening the Party’s building was the glorious tradition, the ‘root’, and ‘soul’ of state-owned enterprises. As a provincial state-owned enterprise, HQCC would take this military training as an opportunity to conduct self-revolution under the leadership of the Party and combine the tenacious and resolute spirit of “no incompletable tasks, no insurmountable difficulty, and no undefeatable enemy” of Yang Gensi with the “unity of knowledge and action” of HQCC. We should inherit and carry forward the courage to forge ahead and dare to be the first and the vigor to require ourselves with higher standards and stricter discipline to build a team with correct thinking and competence.

All participating leaders and workers must further enhance their resistance to hardships and self-reliance, commit to the company’s reform and innovation with more enthusiasm and vigor, overcome difficulties, dare to fight and win, and make new and greater contributions to promote the company’s high-quality development while remembering their original intentions.
